 This morning, one scripture kept lingering in my spirit – Ezra 10:18-43, which lists many names that were unfaithful to GOD. So, I asked GOD, “LORD, I don’t understand. Why are you showing me these lists of names?” Initially, I read Ezra chapter 10 on December 24th. But because the Spirit of the LORD kept bringing up the above verses to my attention on the morning of December 25th, I had to reread those verses. So, I reread verses 18 through 43 to try to grasp why the LORD was poking me with these verses. After I read it, the LORD starts to speak to me with great details about the season and time we are in. As HE was speaking to me, Felicia came into the room after she was done with her morning prayer to share with me, what the LORD spoke to her, which was right in line with where the LORD was leading me. I could not help but acknowledge, OH MY GOD, it is really time. So, in this blog, I am sharing excerpts from the things GOD spoke to Prophetess Felicia Crawford and myself. Then later this week, if GOD willing, I plan to release excerpts of prophetic words Felicia spoke concerning this very hour. the transgression of men |

But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light” (Ephesians 5:11-14, NKJV). |
Here, the scripture refers to “the fruit of the spirit” and then it defines the fruit of the spirit as “goodness, righteousness, and truth.” (Compare to Galatians 5:19-25). It goes on and says, these things are “acceptable to the LORD.” Now, we will expand on this point in a minute.

Christians must understand the times we are living. Why? Because the times will reveal to us what we “ought to do.” This is so critical. The season and time are revealing to us what we “ought to do. 2 Timothy 3:1 reads
| But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: |
“Perilous times will come.” “Perilous times” – a great increase of evil – times of stress for the Body of Christ because of the evil that will take place not only in the world but also inside the church. Let’s read the next few verses so we understand the critical markers – behaviors of people, we need to recognize that will take place both in the world and in the church. It reads
| For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! |
We don’t want to miss what these verses are revealing. Here, Apostle Paul is not officially talking about people of the world (outside the church). But he is speaking about the behaviors of church folks. The evil acts of church folks. Church folks.
We cannot be blinded to what is happening around us, especially in the church. Because King Solomon explains it this way.

There is a season, a time for everything. A time for a particular thing. A time to reveal things as they are in the midst of uncertain times in the present age. For everything has a purpose. Prophetess Crawford puts it this way.
| “There is an appointed time of men to go through…. You have to understand the season and time so you will know what is required of the time – the purpose of the time.” |
People, my brothers and sisters, we are in the greatest season of revealing what is hidden – what is hidden. Recently, in my prayer time with Prophetess Crawford, I saw a powerful black celebrity pastor standing in a position of authority. As he stands, he suddenly falls. But what was interesting was the way he fell in this vision and what happened next. It was like I was watching this scene in the movies in a cinematic effect.
He fell in slow-mo. As I watched, two things stood out.

- He fell on his right side and after he fell, I noticed that this pastor, who is always seen wearing his glasses, was not wearing his glasses.
- Then when I went to look at the face of the fallen pastor, I noticed his eyes were closed.
(Now, I understand what this meant, but I won’t share it here.)
I will close with this. At 1 Corinthians chapter 5, starting with verse 1, it reads
| It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. |
The directives are clear for Christians. (Directives – of what to do that must be obeyed). Here it is – it is clearly stated in the above verses and supported at 1 Timothy 1:18-20. So, let’s take a closer look at these verses for the directives given.
| Deliver such one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (1 Corinthians 5:5). … Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme (1 Timothy 1:20). |
There are two things we must understand here.
- These ones, in GOD’s timing, were exposed by name for their evil deeds. Why? So, GOD’s people would know without doubt, who they need to separate ties from. We should not connect ourselves to, in any form or fashion, partner with, or support the ministry, business, or other activities of such ones. Remember, Korah and his supporters and their great fall (Numbers 16). It was not just Korah who fell because of his deeds of disobedience. But all those associated with him, that stood with him – those that were loyal to Korah to a fault to his plight, that supported Korah’s mission, that partnered with him, and defended Korah’s position.
- The deliverance of an offender to Satan refers to excommunication. Paul states it this way in 1 Corinthians 6:15-18. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
As GOD reveals what is hidden because of the season of the times, we are in, we must appropriately respond to what GOD is revealing to us. We cannot afford to do so in disbelief because it involves men or women of GOD who are likable, whom we respect, love, or have special relations with. For it is time for GOD’s unveiling of what is hidden. (Compare to Ezekiel 8:6-18; Mark 4:21-22; Hebrews 4:13). For GOD will uncover deep things out of darkness and bring the shadow of death to light (Job 12:22).
So, choose wisely.

During this morning’s Prayer and Worship meeting, I kept hearing in my spirit – ‘the Church.’ At some point, I felt compelled to read Ezekiel chapter 37. After reading the first three verses or so, I got up and went to the back table in the Bob Jones Vision Center and sat to hear what the LORD had to say. Then I began to write the following to the Church of GOD – HIS Body.

As I read certain words, phrases, footnotes, and verses, certain verses jumped out at me as if the words lifted off the pages and hoover before me as if it was speaking directly to me. As I was captivated by what I was reading and seeing, again, I kept hearing that phrase – ‘the Church, O, MY Church.’

My GOD, what is my LORD speaking to me today? What is HE saying? What is HE trying to show me?
Well, let’s not get into that part this morning. But I want to share with you what the LORD showed me this morning in my reading in hopes HE will speak to you as well.

Starting with verse 5 of Ezekiel chapter 37, the LORD thy GOD said to Ezekiel, “… “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.”
My god! It is HIM that will cause any and everything to happen in HIS timing – according to HIS will. For the nations will rise and they will fall according to the will of the FATHER, for HE is the KING of kings and LORD of lords (Job 12:23; Revelation 17:14). Therefore, HE will cause and is the cause for the things that are occurring, for HE has prophesied it long ago. For it is the time, it is the season, and HE is in control (Romans 8:28; Proverbs 19:21).

Verse 7 of Ezekiel chapter 37 says, “So I prophesied as I was commanded….” We must understand our role in GOD’s plan. We are to prophesy what thus says the LORD, NOT what thus says man.
When Jesus Christ, our Savior was on the earth, He left us with the following instructions. We will do work as He has done. In fact, we (Christians) will do greater things than the things He has done while He was here with us in the flesh (John 14:12).
We are looking to the LORD to bring about solutions to mankind’s problems on the earth, when the LORD our GOD has given us the earth (Psalm 115:16). HE has given us dominion – controlling power and influence, over the earth and every living thing in it (Genesis 1:26, 28). We personally are the solution, the problem solver, to all the problems of mankind on the earth, NOT GOD. [HE has placed the solutions in us (Jeremiah 1:5)].

Verse 10 of Ezekiel chapter 37 speaks that commanding phrase again, but from Ezekiel’s perspective – “So I prophesied as He commanded me….”
Man must speak not from his own will, but the will of the FATHER. This is what Jesus taught us to do when He was here on the earth. Jesus said to the FATHER, ‘… Father, if it is your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but yours, be done’ (Luke 22:42). Jesus did not come to elevate, promote, nor execute his own agenda – what He thought was right to do in His own eyes. No, He came to do the FATHER’s will, as the FATHER spoke to Him to do. Jesus said to His disciples, ‘… you will realize (know, understand) that I am He (for whom you look) and I do nothing of myself (of my own accord or on my own authority), but I say (exactly) what My Father has taught Me (John 8:28 AMPC).
We as the church and leaders of the congregation of GOD must understand and come to accept that we are to mimic our Lord and Savior in all things. Therefore, we are not allowed to speak or promote our own agenda or the agenda of man (those who mentor us or whose leadership we are under). WE MUST prophesy what the LORD commands of us. We must speak what thus say the LORD or else we are out of alignment with the will of the FATHER and therefore, we are attempting to usurp the plans and will of the FATHER.
MY GOD – what a tragedy that the sons of man cannot see their own folly – their destruction.
CHURCH – wake up. Wake up to the calling of the LORD and not to the whimpering and misguided direction of man (Proverbs 3:5 AMPC).
This leads us back to verse 9 of Ezekiel chapter 37, when the LORD said to Ezekiel, “… come from the four winds, o breath, and breathe….”
MY god! The four winds here represent the four corners of the earth (the south, north, east, and west) that carry GOD’s omnipresence (HIM being all places simultaneously – every place at the same time). It is a symbol of HIS completeness (HIS ability to carry out to the full any and everything HE speaks simultaneously. For HE is the Alpha and the Omega – the beginning and the end (Revelation 1:8). Therefore, it is HE that created our beginning and it is HE that is able to bring things to an end (completion). (See Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 22:20-21). So prophesy what thus says the LORD from all corners of the earth as the LORD commands, as the LORD commands (Ezekiel 37:9, 10).

Then in verse 12 of Ezekiel chapter 37, GOD transcends to this statement. “Behold, O My people, I will open the graves and cause you to come up from your graves….”
Oh my GOD, open up our graves – the hole that is in our hearts. For we don’t truly know YOU and therefore we don’t know or understand YOUR will – the plans YOU have for us. Therefore, we trample over the desires of YOUR heart and insist on our own will – what we think is right and just.
LORD thy GOD forgives us for implementing our own sinister plans – the will and agenda of man. Forgive us. Extend mercy and grace upon us due to our sinful ways – thinking we know better than YOU. For YOUR ways, YOUR ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).
David Guzik, a commentary writer, puts it this way, “Cynics in Ezekiel’s audience might have assumed a sinister motive, perhaps to rob the tombs or to desecrate the remains, both common practices in the ancient Near East. But now Yahweh poses as a tomb robber like no others the treasure he is after in the bodies of his people, whom he will raise from the grave.”
Oh my GOD, my GOD would YOU raise us up once again? Pull us from the graves that we have dug for ourselves because we refuse to wake up, to be the solution to mankind’s problems which YOU have given us the authority to execute in each one of us. LORD, as I see the day is drawing near, I am looking to YOU LORD to cause us to come up, to come out of our graves, and to arise to a higher glory – YOUR glory which can fill the entire earth and bring all things to its end.

Over the past 7 years, GOD has given me so many words of knowledge and words of wisdom to speak to individuals, families, as well as certain leaders. Words that I have many times taken to these individuals. When I speak, I don’t announce – thus says the LORD, but I just simply speak what the LORD has given or shown me and I walk away. Either the person is going to receive it and put faith in what GOD has shown me, or they are not.
Those who have heeded the counsel I have given from the LORD have grown, matured, and prospered. I have a proven track record to reflect this. But those who ignored words I have given because they thought nothing concerning what I was showing them, or they thought less of me and therefore did not value the words I was speaking to them, found themselves later stabbing themselves many times over because at some point they come to realize the words I had spoken to them were not just mere words, but truth – words that were spoken from GOD HIMSELF through me. For I never speak words to elevate or glorify myself, but I speak because of the call that the LORD has placed on my life in my service to others. Therefore, whether it is a good or bad word, I speak only according to the will of the FATHER (John 12:49).

In the medical field, hemorrhaging is when a person rapidly and uncontrollably loses a large amount of blood to the point where their life is at stake. This is the condition GOD described to me that will be occurring within the walls of churches in the next few months. Local churches that have been putting the ways of the LORD off and elevating the ways of man will see a sudden shift in their attendance and members. Churches whose houses have been directed and led by men and not the Spirit of the LORD will start to hemorrhage people. GOD did not explain to me how this will occur – whether congregates will begin to be exposed, or whether congregates will begin to see their leaders for who they really are, or GOD will speak to congregates and instruct them to get out. Either way, this shift will occur on such a grand scale that people inside and outside the church cannot help but take note.

'Thus I will make the land desolate, because they have persisted in unfaithfulness,’ says the Lord God. (NKJV)
It’s never GOD’s desire to cast judgment on any individual, family, church or ministry, nation, or humanity. HE desires all to prosper. Jeremiah chapter 29, verse 11 of the New King James Version says it this way. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the LORD, “thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” New Living Translation reads this way. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” The New International Version says that GOD’s plans are to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us hope and a future – a good life. But like everything GOD promises, there is a condition we all must live up to, to benefit from GOD’s promises and blessings – that is, HIS ability to prosper us. HE has standards – that is, requirements we must live up to, to obtain HIS promises. Jeremiah 4:1 explains, “If you will return, O Israel,” says the LORD, “return to me; and if you will put away your abomination out of My sight, then you shall not be moved.”
In the English language, the word ‘if’ is a conjunction that means in the event that, on the assumption that, on the condition that. Here, GOD is setting HIS standards before mankind to prevent a disaster – the judgment of GOD from coming upon the land and its people. (Compare to Numbers 16; Genesis 15:13). “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, seek my face, and learn from their wicked ways…” (2 Chronicles 7:17, KJV).
I have said this probably a hundred times on my blog, GOD’s required genuine actions on our part. If we do XYZ FIRST, then GOD will do what needs to be done – in this case, to cease HIS coming judgment upon this land (as in the people). Case in point, let’s read 2 Chronicles 7:14 again. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, seek my face, and learn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (KJV).
In the English language, the word ‘if’ is a conjunction that means in the event that, on the assumption that, on the condition that. Here, GOD is setting HIS standards before mankind to prevent a disaster – the judgment of GOD from coming upon the land and its people. (Compare to Numbers 16; Genesis 15:13). “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, seek my face, and learn from their wicked ways…” (2 Chronicles 7:17, KJV).
I have said this probably a hundred times on my blog, GOD’s required genuine actions on our part. If we do XYZ FIRST, then GOD will do what needs to be done – in this case, to cease HIS coming judgment upon this land (as in the people). As soon as we as a nation, especially the Body of Christ as a whole say sincerely in our hearts, ‘LORD, forgive us for our abominations – our sins against you and your ways, and we turn completely away from all the wickedness we have come to practice, it is then and only then will GOD turn HIS attention to HIS people and this nation, and relent from casting HIS judgment upon a deserving nation, group of people, or individuals. (Compare to Jonah chapter 3). King Josiah set a perfect example for all leaders in the secular and religious setting concerning this matter of humbling oneself, praying, seeking GOD, and turning away from their sins.
2 Chronicles 34:3 says concerning Josiah, “… while he was still young, he began to seek the GOD of his father David… he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images.” What are some modern type things we engage in today that can be compared to the high places, and wooden, carved, and molded images that King Josiah had to confront and get rid of during his time?

GOD does not expect a perfect society but HE does have standards we all must uphold. And if we fall short of any of these standards, GOD expects sincere repentance and a turning away from our wrongs. (Compare to Romans 3:20-25).
2 Chronicles chapter 34, verses 3 through 5 goes on and say about Josiah and his supporting leaders, “They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and the incense altars which were above them he cut down; and the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images he broke in pieces, and made dust of them and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them. He also burned the bones of the priests on their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.” Simply put, Josiah cleansed house. He did not just clean his own house, but he required and enforced these changes to take place everywhere – in the cities, within the nation, among the people, and especially in GOD’s place of worship (2 Chronicles 34:6-8, 10-13). Let’s stop right there for a minute because we need to clearly understand Josiah’s actions.
As we continue to read, we see a Book of Law of the LORD given to Moses was found. Upon discovering what was in it – what the LORD required of HIS people – what did Hilkiah the priest and Shaphan the scribe do? Verse 16 said, Shaphan carried the book to King Josiah and read it to the king (2 Chronicles 34:16, 18). In response to what the king heard, he needed clarity concerning the things that were read to him. He wanted to know whether judgment was going to come upon his nation because the people and his leaders “… have not kept the word of the LORD…” – the standards of GOD.
So, what did King Josiah and his leaders do? Verse 22 says they sent a selective group of men to Huldah, GOD’s appointed prophetess to get clarity of what was GOD’s stance concerning the king, his people, and his nation at that appointed time based on their discovery – discovering the Book of the Law. Upon hearing King Josiah's request through his appointed leaders, Prophetess Huldah provided them the word of the LORD, which was a word of judgment because they as a nation had abandoned GOD’s laws, HIS commands, HIS ways, HIS standards, decrees, and righteousness. Josiah’s nation (the people) had opted to go their own ways, establishing their own gods, rituals, and traditions outside of what GOD required. They had preferred their own pleasures instead of the standards of GOD. (See 2 Chronicles 34:23-25). But in the Prophetess Huldah’s word of judgment against the nation, there was a message of hope because of the reactions of King Josiah upon discovering and hearing the Book of the Law of the LORD.
Prophetess Huldah said to King Josiah’s men, “Because your heart was tender, and you humble yourself before GOD when you heard HIS word against this place and against its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before Me, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the LORD. “… Your eyes shall not see all the calamity which I will bring on this place and its inhabitants…” (2 Chronicles 34:27-28). It was the actions of the king that saved the nation from GOD’s pending judgment.
But we need to understand that King Josiah did not just stop there. He did not simply just hear the word of GOD from GOD’s prophetess and say, ‘I receive that’ and move on to the next thing that was on his kingly agenda. NO! HE TOOK ACTIONS based on the word of GOD’s prophetess. (Compare to James 1:22).
Verses 29 and 30 of 2 Chronicles chapter 34 said the king gathered all his leaders and went to the house of the LORD with everyone in the nation (all the people) and read the Book of the Law of the LORD to them. Then the king renewed their covenant with GOD and made a sowned declaration to GOD before the people on behalf of the people and its nation and he made all who were present to take the same oath – to be in agreement with the established covenant King Josiah declared before the LORD (2 Chronicles 34:29-33). The nation was spared of GOD’s judgment due to the action of King Josiah and the entire nation (its leaders and citizens) coming together, in agreement.
Go back to Jeremiah 4:1 and 2 Chronicles 7:14 – it is when and only when a nation and its leaders come together in one accord to repent that GOD will relent from pouring out HIS judgment upon a nation that is deserving of HIS righteous judgment.
One more example before we close. We see that GOD only turns away from destroying the livelihood of a nation (the lives and comforts of the people) when they repent and turn away from their sins. Jonah chapter 3, verse 10 expresses this way, “Then” (soon after Nineveh’s king and all its people) “… turned from their evil ways…” – the people acted first. Then “… GOD relented (give in, cease) from the disaster that HE had said HE would bring upon them, and HE did not do it.”
GOD wants to relent. HE wants to change HIS mind. HE wants to extend mercy instead of HIS judgment, but if HE has to compromise HIS standards in the process to extend mercy, HE won't do it – that is, HE will not relent – change HIS mind. If HE did, then that would make HIM a liar, which would contradict what the scriptures say about HIS character and nature – “… it is impossible for GOD to lie…” (Hebrews 6:18).
This brings us back to Ezekiel 15:8 where the LORD said, “… I will make the land desolate” (to wretch or deprive of inhabitants), “because they have persisted” (remained unchanged in their character, condition, or preferred position) “in unfaithfulness” – that is, the breaking of GOD’s standards.
GOD cannot relent, change HIS mind about a pending judgment, and extend mercy, if, we as the people, as a nation, and as HIS church are not willing to change our ways – our course of actions. We have to align ourselves to GOD’s standards and laws and what HE is doing in this season, and not the other way around, before GOD can act, the people must respond. If we do, then GOD will.
GOD wants complete obedience. Otherwise, we are in direct conflict with HIS expectations and that is a sin. And if we refuse to change our ways, it is we who will force GOD’s hand to act and respond as an act of justice. So that the land and its people can be cleansed and restored to the state in which GOD intended. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV).
Ezekiel chapter 5, verse 7 reads
| … Thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have multiplied disobedience more than the nations that are all around you, have not walked in My statutes nor kept My judgments, nor even done according to the judgments of the nations that are all around you. |
Let’s stop right there for a moment. I want to speak about what is in my spirit before continuing with our reading of Ezekiel chapter 5.

Now, what I am about to say next might sound crazy to some of you. And that’s okay. It won’t bother me at all what most of y’all think. But immediately after that (writing my title content on the top of the first page), the Spirit of the LORD speaks to me about the things I am reading during my Bible reading time and I simply write or take dictations of what I am hearing in the Spirit and then later provide them to you in the form of a blog post.
What I have described is normal behavior of the Spirit of GOD. For there are a selective few that HE speaks through this way all over the world. HE has been doing this since the beginning of time and still is doing it today in order to speak to, direct, and guide HIS people (2 Timothy 3:14-17). For GOD IS the same yesterday, as today, and HE will be forever. Compare to Hebrews 13:8.
Now, with that being said, I want to explain why I felt led to mention how I write out my title information at the top of my pages before continuing with Ezekiel. After I wrote out my date, on page 1, something unusual occurred that had never happened before. Holy Spirit instructed me to look up each number in today’s date – 8, 4, and 23. So, I did and then I was given instructions to write their meaning here and then we will proceed with this writing. So, I have provided the meaning of each number below.
| 8 represents a new beginning, a new order, and a true born again event when he is resurrected from the dead into eternal life. 4 is derived from creation. The 4th day in the Bible is called creation week when GOD completed the material universe – our sun, moon, and all the stars (Genesis 1:14-19). They were not created for the sole purpose of giving off light. But they were to divide day from night. They were a demarcation of time. Demarcation simply means the marking of limits or boundaries of something. It is the act, process, or result of something. The number 23 is a little trickier to define. I wrote down this number out of obedience but because the voice of GOD became silent as I waited to hear what the LORD would say next, I will move on with my reading. |
Now, let me say this. I am not sure at this point why GOD wanted me to provide the meaning of the numbers above. But I am sure it will come clear at the end of this writing.

In Ezekiel chapter 5, verse 7, GOD had this to say to Ezekiel about the nation of Israel.

HE continues in verse 8.
| Thus says the LORD GOD, I am against you and therefore I will executive judgments according to your deed(s) in front of all the nations in which you stood alongside and supported their unrighteous laws and deeds. And you will see things like not done before and I shall never do again. And Know these things will be done not because of my choosing. But because you refuse to obey, to follow my commandments, and the words of my elected prophets. (Compare to Amos 3:7). You refuse to listen and instead, you helped to resurrect the abominable wiles of this nation. Therefore, some of you will destroy one another, and whatever and whoever is left will be scattered from one place to another. You will no longer have peace nor will you experience freedom. Because you have defiled as well as corrupted My sanctuary, My laws, My regulations, My commandments. (Compare to Ezekiel 5:7-11). You are no different than the people mentioned at Hosea chapter 4. They were disobedient, brazen in their sin to the point, I abhorred them. For they were liars, merciless, thieves, adulterers, murderers (Hosea 4:1-4). For they prefer and love the ways of the world more than they love Me and My commandments. So, with My right hand, I will smite them for their neglect and sin. For it is your love for this system of things, its laws, and the abandonment of My ways that have caused you to stumble many. Did you not read in the book of Ezekiel, chapter 3, I have made you, My house a watchman to the nations. That I would speak through your mouth as a warning to the nations. But you refuse to speak thus says the LORD. Instead, you closed your ears to the things I spoke to you. And opted to tickle the ears of My people and the nation according to the lusts of this world – the abominations of the heart of men (2 Timothy 4:3). Therefore, because you refuse to speak thus says the LORD to My people, I will require this nation’s blood and the blood of the innocent from your own hands (Ezekiel 3:18). For many have died in this season needlessly because of man-made mandates and agenda. It was your actions that illegally allowed one man into this nation as an unauthorized representation of Me when I did not authorize him. You sat him on My throne to represent My decrees, laws, and mandates. And instead, he authorized another as well as the will and agenda of man. Resulting in the unnecessary deaths of many due to the enforcement of illegal procedures. Therefore, as a righteous GOD, the ALMIGHTY GOD, who rules over everything, I must act with justice to the outcries of My people (the remnant) and the outcries of the innocent blood that has been shredded for My Word is binding. (Compare to Ezekiel 5:11-17). |
I know that was a hard word and one I prefer not to give. But I take the words spoken to Ezekiel at Ezekiel chapter 3, verses 17 through 21 very seriously. Whenever and whatever the LORD speaks, I shall deliver it, no matter who hears it or choose to reject it (Ezekiel 3:11, 27).

Despite what is spoken here, we need to remember that GOD IS a loving and just GOD. HE will always honor and protect those who sincerely repent and those who are HIS (HIS remnant). For the LORD said, “Yet I will leave a remnant, so that you may have some who escape the sword among the nations...” (Ezekiel 6:8; compare to 1 Corinthians 10:13).
Notice the scriptures said that the remnant will ‘escape the sword.’ We need to go back to the word the LORD spoke at Ezekiel 5:2-7 and verse 12. Notice in verses 2 through 4, GOD gave Ezekiel explicit instructions to follow. And then HE provides Ezekiel with the meaning of those verses in verse 12.

But in verse 3 of Ezekiel chapter 5, GOD makes this statement to Ezekiel.
| … Take a small number of them [his hair that he shaved (see verse 1)], and bind them in the edge of your garment. |
The few hairs Ezekiel was to bind to his garment symbolized the remnant – those who heard the words of Ezekiel and listened. (See Ezekiel 3:11, 27). Although these ones will escape the things mentioned at Ezekiel chapter 5, verse 12, some may still suffer some forms of oppression. (Compare to Ezekiel 5:4). Note that oppression is the unjust or cruel exercise of authority or power.
Despite this, GOD will preserve HIS remnant. HE will guide and protect them from the destruction to come because of this great nation’s sin and because of the sin of HIS people.

Despite what must come – GOD’s judgment for
- The sins and unrighteous acts of this nation that have contributed to the loss of lives of thousands of people since the conception of COVID-19.
- Because of the failure of the Church to
- Seek the Lord for a solution or an answer.
- For their refusal to hear and heed the words of GOD’s prophets during the 2020 Presidential Election. (Compare to Ezekiel 3:11, 27; Amos 3:7).
- For their part of allowing all the current abominations that have passed as laws (allowing and agreeing to laws of the land that conflict with GOD’s Word like same-sex marriage, endangering the lives of young girls and women with their transgender decrees, etc.).
- For the inauguration of an unauthorized official into office.
- For their refusal to acknowledge their error, sincerely repent for them, and make the needed correction where applicable before the people.
Despite the response by GOD for the Church’s unlawful deeds, the LORD will provide a way of escape from HIS judgment for HIS righteous remnant. It is then the LORD GOD will start a new beginning, a new order (see the meaning of number 8). HE will set a boundary between what is good, upright, and obedient from those who are disobedient – rebels of HIS name, HIS ways, and HIS commandments. Like what the number 4 represents, HE will separate night from day – darkness from light. Resulting in the resurrection of HIS people, HIS chosen nation from death to life.
I’m going to keep this blog post simple. For several days now, I have been spending some time reading the book of Ezekiel. Particularly, Ezekiel chapter 3, verses 17-21, which is my focus for today.
As we know, Ezekiel was a prophet appointed BY GOD. I feel it is important to point out the fact that Ezekiel was appointed BY GOD because we have a lot of individuals running around the Body of Christ declaring “I am a prophet.” “I am an apostle.” “I am this or that.” When they are only self-appointed men and women who are masquerading to be something when they are not. For the Scriptures are clear on this matter.
As we know, Ezekiel was a prophet appointed BY GOD. I feel it is important to point out the fact that Ezekiel was appointed BY GOD because we have a lot of individuals running around the Body of Christ declaring “I am a prophet.” “I am an apostle.” “I am this or that.” When they are only self-appointed men and women who are masquerading to be something when they are not. For the Scriptures are clear on this matter.
| One, it is GOD, not man, that appoints men and women in their proper roles. See 1 Corinthians chapter 12. GOD says it like this through Apostle Paul. “Now, dear brothers and sisters, regarding your question about the special abilities the Spirit gives us. I don’t want you to misunderstand this” (1 Corinthians 12:1). Verses 4 through 7 – “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other” (NLT). The kinds of spiritual gifts (or abilities) that are granted to men and women in the Body of Christ are listed in verses 8 through 10. And then it is established again, several times, who is responsible for assigning and distributing spiritual gifts to the Body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:11 - But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills (NKJV). 1 Corinthians 12:18 - But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased (NKJV). 1 Corinthians 1:28 - And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues (NKJV). |
And yet, today, there is so much confusion in the Body of Christ because men have failed to heed the LORD’s words concerning how GOD appoints men and women into their proper places and proper roles and proper regions and localities. BUT WHEN all things are done in decency and order according to the will and plans of GOD, then it benefits the whole (1 Corinthians 14:40). 1 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 6 says it this way. “The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all” (NKJV). But I like the New Living Translation wording better. “A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”
When we follow and operate within the plans of the LORD and not the protocols, processes, operation, and will of men, THEN as it says in 1 Corinthians chapter 14, verse 31, all our local churches and ministries will have peace. Because GOD’s plan eliminates confusion, while man’s plans only exasperate it.
And we see this is the case in the book of Ezekiel. So, we see, in the first two chapters, the LORD GOD appoints Ezekiel as HIS prophet specifically to the nation of Israel when Israel was in captivity under the Babylonia regime. As GOD’s appointed prophet, Ezekiel was given one special task. AND THAT IS TO WARN GOD’S PEOPLE OF THEIR OWN PERSONAL DESTRUCTION IF THEY DID NOT HEED THE WARNING OF GOD THROUGH HIS PROPHETS. (Not man’s prophets or self-appointed prophets, but GOD’s prophets).

And as a watchman, Ezekiel was responsible for instructing the people according to the way and direction of GOD during that season of testing and trials of GOD’s people. With that being said, I want to only highlight, five verses in Ezekiel chapter 3 for all our benefit.

In this verse, we see GOD makes Ezekiel a watchman to speak on HIS behalf to the nation of Israel a word from the LORD – a word of warning.

In these next few verses, GOD is giving Ezekiel specific instructions on how his ministry should operate as well as GOD expectations of him as HIS prophet, and Ezekiel’s role and responsibility as well as the penalty if he fails to follow GOD’s instructions and directions explicitly.
In verse 18, GOD explains to Ezekiel, as HIS watchman, when GOD tells him that a person will surely die and Ezekiel fails to warn that person that the LORD said he (or she) will surely die; when that person dies because of his or her iniquity, the LORD will require Ezekiel’s own blood for his failure to warn that person according to the LORD’s word.
BUT IF Ezekiel warns that person of his or her unfortunate death and that man or woman listens and does not die in his iniquity, then Ezekiel will save his own soul for his obedience (Ezekiel 3:19).
This is the same in the case of a righteous man (a man or woman of GOD). If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity. GOD will lay a stumbling block before him and that rigtheous man will die because GOD’s prophet failed to warn him. AND ALL THE GOOD OR RIGHTEOUS THINGS THAT RIGHTEOUS MAN HAS DONE FOR THE LORD, THE LORD WILL NOT REMEMBER. The LORD will not recount the righteous man's good deeds nor accredit them to his account in his book of life. It will be as if he has never done a good thing in his life. And for Ezekiel’s failure to warn this righteous man of his plight, the LORD will require the blood of Ezekiel because he failed to warn the man of his sin(s) (Ezekiel 3:20).
But just the same, if Ezekiel warns the righteous man and the righteous man heeds Ezekiel’s warning and does not sin or repent, he surely will live because of Ezekiel’s warning. And Ezekiel too will deliver his own soul from death (Ezekiel 3:21).

The trumpets are sounding
Today, we too are living in turbulent times like Ezekiel. Therefore, it is a time and season when GOD’s people are being pressed to compromise and or lay dormant or complacent. Therefore, GOD has assigned in this season, WATCHMEN. Men and women who are standing on the wall watching for any and every sign that will try to impede the forward work of the Kingdom. These have the responsibility to either warn the Body of Christ as a whole, or a specific church or ministry, and then there are those that are assigned to the people individually. They all are in their proper place, taking in daily instructions from the LORD and sounding the warning trumpets to people in their assigned territory. Do we hear the sounds of the trumpets? Or are we ignoring them? Are we aware as well as acknowledging the watchmen that the LORD has appointed for our benefit, for our good, for our protection, for our livelihood?

There is a flaw in man that is evil. Evil enough that they would try to hinder the plans of GOD. But who can stand against this great GOD that we serve? NO ONE! For GOD knows how to protect HIS from the evil plots of man. Even when these plots conjure up by men that operate within HIS own house – the House of GOD.
As I read Acts chapters 22 and 23 this morning, I see the ways of GOD. How HE intervenes on behalf of HIS servants to rescue them from the plots and evil plans of men who try to steal, kill, and destroy HIS people. (Compare to John 10:10). We can see this in the way GOD throttle the plans of the Jews who plotted to kill Paul.
As I read Acts chapters 22 and 23 this morning, I see the ways of GOD. How HE intervenes on behalf of HIS servants to rescue them from the plots and evil plans of men who try to steal, kill, and destroy HIS people. (Compare to John 10:10). We can see this in the way GOD throttle the plans of the Jews who plotted to kill Paul.

If we go back to Acts chapter 21, starting at verse 27. While Paul was in the temple in Jerusalem, we read that some Jews begin to stir up trouble among the crowd against Paul. Saying “… Men of Israel, help us! This is the man who preaches against our people everywhere and tells everybody to disobey the Jewish laws. He speaks against the Temple—and even defiles this holy place by bringing in Gentiles” (Acts 21:28). As a result, the entire town became disrupted and turned against Paul at the word of these devices Jews. In fact, they seized Paul, dragged him out of the temple, and sort an opportunity to kill him. (See Acts 21:30-31). Umm, the evil plans of envious men. (Compare to Galatians 5:18-21).
These men wanted to halt how the Living GOD was moving and operating in Paul. They were blinded by their own self-interest; their own position and evaluation. Their pride. So much so, they could not see that it was GOD who was causing Paul to do and say what he was doing. They could not see the man of GOD and the direction GOD was moving. Instead, they judged Paul based on how they felt. For Paul was not acting in the direction they wanted to go. How they really did not want to see any changes in how they were doing things. They desired for things to remain the same.
But Paul had come on behalf of the LORD to disrupt their plans as usual. To create waves. But GOD! HE was not having it. That is the plan of man. In fact, a Pharisee, Gamaliel, said it best. He said.
| “Men of Israel, take care what you are planning to do to these men! Some time ago there was that fellow Theudas, who pretended to be someone great. About 400 others joined him, but he was killed, and all his followers went their various ways. The whole movement came to nothing. After him, at the time of the census, there was Judas of Galilee. He got people to follow him, but he was killed, too, and all his followers were scattered. “So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!” (Acts 5:35-39, NTL). |
But men like these Jews who stand before Paul on this day had forgotten the wise counsel of Gamaliel. And so, they rose against Paul – GOD’s chosen vessel. These men plotted not only to seize Paul. But it was their desire also to have him killed. They wanted to put an end to Paul and his ministry. What these men did not understand was that they were not just coming up against Paul in an attempt to destroy one man. But unknowing to them, they were attempting to cease the plans of the LORD. They did not realize that GOD was standing between them and Paul. Ready to judge and act if they did not change their course of action – their plans against Paul.
This leads us to Acts chapters 22 and 23, where these men deviously thought that their plot will be successful against Paul. In verses 32 through 36 of chapter 21, this mob of Jews that came up against Paul, plans were quickly interrupted when the situation got to the commander of the garrison who showed up in the middle of their witch hunt to mess up their destructive plans against Paul.

For the second time, these Jewish men, men who are supposed to be representative of GOD, were warned about coming against GOD’s chosen vessels. (See Acts 5:34-39; 23:9).
Did they listen? Did they heed the counsel of GOD through men? No, they did not. They were so caught up in their own self-interest and progress – that they missed the move of GOD and what GOD was doing. As a result, they turned against the very man GOD sent to them.

There are men, brothers and sisters of the faith that are currently doing the same things as these Pharisees and Sadducees. They are sitting in their man-made courts, sitting on their religious self-made thrones, and judging the men and women that God has sent to them to get their houses in order for HIS return. So that they can rightfully align themselves AWAY FROM THE PLANS OF MAN TO the plans of GOD.
But far too many are blind and allowing themselves to be held captive by the fear of man. So instead, they bow down and align themselves with men and women who are blind guides and do know not the plans of GOD. Resulting in them forming alliances with men and women that GOD did not call, whom HE has not sent. Causing many to come up against individuals that GOD has hand-picked to lead and direct them according to the plans of GOD.
But what is occurring instead is that these men and women – these blinded guides are stirring up members in the Body of Christ to gather themselves together to band with them in order to plot against GOD’s chosen vessels in order that these ones are bound and their ministry and souls are destroyed. Oh, the wickedness that is occurring in GOD’s houses among a crooked generation. It is their desire that their houses of GOD do not make the needed shift in this hour so that GOD’s houses may properly align themselves with the plans of GOD. Instead, these men and women want and are working hard to prevent the move of GOD so that they can remain in power and their spirit of influence stay intact.

There are more than forty men hiding along the way ready to ambush him. They have vowed not to eat or drink anything until they have killed him. They are ready now, just waiting for your consent.” (NLT) |
Today, there are men of GOD that are plotting against you as well as me. Waiting for that right opportunity to steal, destroy, and kill your very soul. They are gathering the trust of men and women in GOD’s house to place your blood on their hands in order to halt your forward progress.
But GOD will intervene on your behalf. HE will rescue you from the hands of man and expose their evil plans before the eyes of the public. HE will not only uncover their plot. But HE will send men after HIS own heart to guide and protect you. Just as HE did for Paul.
In the case of Paul as these self-righteous men plot to have him killed. GOD used the Roman army – 200 hundred fighting and strongmen to circle around Paul and remove Paul at an hour these zealous and wicked Jews did not expect. (See Acts 23:23-24). Then GOD used the high officer of that army to send a letter of approval to the governor concerning Paul (Acts 23:24-30). Upon the governor receiving this letter, the governor required these evil men – the Jews who plotted against Paul to appear before his court of law to explain before this man of power the questionable charges they had against Paul. The commander of the Roman army wrote to Felix the governor.

But when I was informed of a plot to kill him, I immediately sent him on to you. I have told his accusers to bring their charges before you” (Acts 23:26-30, NLT). |
So, today, may GOD put on trial every man and woman who is coming against you. May their plans, hearts, and motive be exposed. May the GOD of the heavens and over the earth judge them accordingly to their destructive hearts and act against those who stand alongside them – IN JESUS NAME.
The Church needs to pay close attention - a prophetic word.
The people of GOD do not fully understand the power and authority they carry. Jesus said to His disciples (His true servants) at Matthew 28:18.

What did Jesus do with that authority? At Luke 10:19, Jesus says
| “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (NKJV). |
Here, the Greek word for serpents is ophis (G3789). In general speaking, ophis refers to a snake or serpent. But in ancient times, the serpent was an emblem of cunning and wisdom. Therefore, figuratively speaking, a serpent is an artful malicious person, whose goal is to deceive. Similar to what Satan achieved with Eve in the Garden. (See Genesis 3:1-6).
The Greek word for scorpins is skorpios (G4651). Figuratively speaking, a scorpion denotes a wicked person. For example, the prophet, Ezekiel, depicts a scorpion this way.

The Greek word for ‘the enemy’ is echthros (G2190). Echthros is defined as men who are at enmity (hate, estranged, or hostile) with GOD by their sin. This is the type of person that is described at Acts 13, verse 8. It reads
| “Elymas, the sorcerer… interfered and urged the governor to pay no attention to what Barnabas and Saul said. He was trying to keep the governor from believing (NKJV). |
Elymas was a Jewish magician and false prophet who ran into Apostle Paul during his first missionary tour. As Paul and Barnabas preached to the people that reside in Elymas' region, there were many men present who were intelligent and a part of the proconsul’s court. Many powerful men were intrigued by what Paul and Barnabus were teaching. Afraid of their presence and that he (Elymus) might lose his influence over Sergius Paulus, one of the intelligent men present, Elymas spoke against Paul. Elymas was concerned because men like Sergius Paulus had close connections with the proconsul. He recognized, if Sergius Paulus was persuaded by what Paul and Barnabus were teaching, then the proconsul might be influenced by their teaching as well. Therefore, Elymas spoke against Paul and Barnabus to sway the proconsul from the faith.
Once Paul recognized what Elymas was doing. Paul turned his attention to Elymas. With much boldness, Paul said to Elymas. Because he opposed the truth of GOD, “… the hand of the LORD is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time” (Acts 13:11, NKJV).
Did you see what Paul did there? Before we answer that, turn to John chapter 14, verse 12, and note what Jesus said to His disciples.
Once Paul recognized what Elymas was doing. Paul turned his attention to Elymas. With much boldness, Paul said to Elymas. Because he opposed the truth of GOD, “… the hand of the LORD is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time” (Acts 13:11, NKJV).

Now, let’s answer that question. As we saw, Paul cursed, condemned Elymas for coming against the gospel – the truth of GOD’s word. For attempting to prevent others from hearing and receiving the gospel. Even Gamaliel, a Pharisee and an expert in religious laws warned men like Elymas. He said to his colleagues who had rosed against Peter and the apostles for preaching the gospel.

SIDEBAR: Now be mindful, the men that Gamaliel warned, in this case, were brothers, men of faith just like Peter and the apostles. In this season, IF men and women are not careful, and they attempt to come against men and women who have been vetted by GOD (not by men but by GOD), Gamaliel’s warning applies to you. This kind of protection does not apply to men and women who THINK they have the seal of approval from GOD. This applies to those GOD has handed picked for HIS specific purposes. |
Let’s personalize this
It’s important that we as sons and daughters of GOD grab a hold of this. (I’m not talking about children of GOD but sons and daughters of GOD. There is a difference). GOD has given us, by means of HIS Son, Jesus Christ, ALL AUTHORITY AND POWER to ‘… do the same works…’ as Christ ‘… even greater works’ (John 14:12). This includes casting curses on those who try to impede us in presenting the gospel. Go back to Acts 13, starting with verse 9, and read that again.
| Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time.” And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand. |
‘Immediately!’ ‘Immediately,’ Elymas loses his ability to see. He was blinded by the words of Paul for trying to impede the work of Christ. The Scripture said, that Elymas would not be able to see ‘the sun for a time’ (v. 11). It is safe to assume that IF Elymas repented, his sight could be restored. But until then, he will no longer be able to hinder the works of the LORD through those He is using. For Elymas had to seek others ‘to lead him by the hand’ (v. 11).
Lesson for us
Don’t give up or hand over your power to the sons or daughters of the devil – those who are full of deceit and fraud. In this season, we cannot be afraid or even hesitant to use the authority that the LORD has given us. And this includes casting curses on those who try or oppose the preaching of the gospel.
Yesterday morning, I woke up with a lot on my mind. You can say I was still irritated from the night before about some things I shared with my FATHER (speaking of GOD) that I was not happy about. I am a businesswoman by trade. Therefore, I like things done a certain way concerning business matters or anything linked with any business activities or transactions. So, the night before, my FATHER and I had a long discussion about a few things I was not satisfied with.
Now, although GOD did sent His ministering angel to minister to me – which did bring me a level of peace. But evidently, I bottled up my frustrations and took them to bed with me because I woke up the next morning frustrated and irritable, and initially, I did not know why. So, I was like, “LORD! What is going on with me? Because for the past few days, I have been just really like AH! about some things?”
So, yesterday morning, after GOD showed me what was really at the core of my frustrations and disclosed to me that I already had the solution to this one particular issue – my atmosphere finally took a turn for the better.

Far too often, we, define success by this one simple word – increase. Even the church has become trapped by this worldly concept. One of the entries in Webster's Dictionary defines success as “the attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence (a position of prominence or superiority). So, from the world’s perspective, success is defined or based on numbers. The more social media followers you have; the more members you have in your church; the more money you make; the more influence you possess, in comparison to others that are in the same trade, service, or arena, the more successful you are. The less increase or numbers you have, the less successful you are. This is the world’s view and many in the church are guilty of adopting such a belief system that does not align with GOD’s word nor HIS perspective.

As Christians, we always want to have GOD’s perspective on matters. For this is always our best option when considering all things and all matter. It says at Isaiah chapter 55, starting at verse 8
| For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. |
How the LORD evaluates and perceives things when it comes to success or being successful is (1) completely different from man’s ideology and (2) it has very little to do with numbers (increase) as far as GOD is concerned. So, how does GOD defines success?

Did you notice what GOD calls success? Before I answer that, let’s notice first, what GOD does not call success. As we read this verse in Joshua, nowhere does GOD speaks about an increase in numbers that will lead to anyone’s success. Now, in the things I am about to mention, I am not saying, that an increase in numbers does not reflect progress. But what I am saying is this is not how GOD defines success. GOD does not define a man or a widow’s success based on their social media platform growing from zero followers to 100 plus, or even a thousand plus. Nor does HE based success on whether a pastor has grown from a hand full of church members to a couple of hundreds or thousands of members. And HE certainly does not base a Christian business's success on whether an owner has grown from making no profit to thousands of dollars in profits. Now, these things are good but they are not the determining factors that GOD used to measure or determine whether a person is successful or not. For, we, as Christians, know that many in the world are seeking an increase in one way or another to be labeled as successful. But they do not necessarily have GOD’s approval. Man measures success on one scale while GOD’s scope of success is on a completely different level. (Compare t Isaiah 55:8-9).
So, at Joshua 1:8, GOD makes a clear distinction on how HE defines success. Joshua 1:8 provides us with two clear points.

| 1. The first thing HE tells us is that we should ‘meditate’ in HIS word day and night. Reading and studying GOD’s word is a critical part of each one of us becoming successful. 2. Then He said, whenever we read and or study GOD’s word, we must apply what we read. It said, “observe to do according to all that is written in it.” As a result of reading and studying GOD’s word on regular bases, then we will ‘prosper’ and ‘have good success.’ |
Let’s read it again.

GOD defines success not by increase, nor by numbers. But HE describes a person of success as one who read and study HIS word and applies it in their daily activity and life. And it is these actions that will eventually cause us to be prosperous and experience true success according to GOD’s word.
Okay, some of y’all are taking issue with this, so let’s look at another scripture. At 1 Samuel, chapter 15, the prophet Samuel is talking with King Saul. After King Saul had failed to follow the explicit instructions that the LORD had given him, Samuel said to Saul at verse 22.

Now, let’s stop right there. We know from the study of the scriptures that GOD’s leaders performed countless burnt offerings and animal sacrifices to appease GOD for their sins or sometimes as a gift to the LORD. So here, in 1 Samuel 15:22, the prophet Samuel is alluding to the number of times the Israelites can make countless burnt offerings and animal sacrifices to the LORD. The priest who was assigned to do this can do this over and over again. But these offerings and sacrifices can be considered null and void from the LORD’s perspective if we are not obedient to what HE is requiring us to do. So, again, let’s read what the prophet Samuel said to Saul.

Obedience. Heeding the word of the LORD is more important than the number of offerings or sacrifices we can offer up to the LORD. So, here GOD defines success not purely based on our offerings and sacrifices. Although, these things are good. But HE based success on being obedient to HIS word, all of HIS commandments, decrees, regulations, expectations, and rules. Being submissive to what HE says in HIS word and to the direction HE personally gives to us is what makes us successful.
Alright, one more point.
Far too many of us have diluted what is success because we have accepted the world’s view of what success is – which is an increase by some significant number, i.e. social media platform, membership, headcount, subscribers, material goods, wealth, etc. But Jesus said something interesting in one of HIS parables that I think we should consider.
Do you recall what He said about the poor widow with the two mites? In this parable, Jesus speaks about two groups of people that enter the treasury to deposit a donation. The first group that donates their money is a part of the wealthy class. Jesus states that these gave out of their surplus. Meaning, what they gave into the treasury will not impact them in any way. Although their giving is good, they are not sacrificing anything. Then Jesus mentions the poor widow who can only give two mites. (A single mite was a copper coin worth a fraction of a penny). So, just imagine. The rich were donating hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to the treasury. But this poor widow could only donate two coins that were worth less than a penny each. Yet, Jesus said this concerning both groups.

Do you recall what He said about the poor widow with the two mites? In this parable, Jesus speaks about two groups of people that enter the treasury to deposit a donation. The first group that donates their money is a part of the wealthy class. Jesus states that these gave out of their surplus. Meaning, what they gave into the treasury will not impact them in any way. Although their giving is good, they are not sacrificing anything. Then Jesus mentions the poor widow who can only give two mites. (A single mite was a copper coin worth a fraction of a penny). So, just imagine. The rich were donating hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to the treasury. But this poor widow could only donate two coins that were worth less than a penny each. Yet, Jesus said this concerning both groups.

We have to be mindful that numbers (or an increase) can be very misleading when we look at it from a man’s perspective. Because numbers can be manipulated, ambiguous, and they do not always represent what it seems. Just because an individual has hundreds or even thousands of members in their group, on their social media platform, or in their organization, it doesn’t mean they are experiencing true success from GOD’s perspective. There are some who only have a few followers or a few members in their church, on their social media platform, or in their organization and GOD may consider these that are really having success or are successful from HIS perspective. GOD is more interested in those who are like the poor widow with the two mites. A widow who was not only obedient to GOD’s word in her giving. But she gave all she had out of her income, not her surplus.
So, let’s conclude with this. What makes a person successful is NOT this number game that many like to play or what the world defines as success. We all need to see success in the same manner as Christ does. And He considers those who are successful are those who are obedient to every word HE utters in HIS word.

When the LORD God imparts a word, it is meant to teach, reprove, correct, or train His servants—the Body of Christ—so that every member may be equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The LORD has appointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for service, mutual encouragement, and building up the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Thessalonians 5:11).
