FROM A CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE

Look. I like to think I am mature enough to handle differences. Let me explain from a Christian perspective.

I realize that my experience and encounter with GOD is my personal experience and encounter with GOD. And just because I've been blessed to have certain experiences and encounters with GOD does not mean every Christian in the Body of Christ will have that same experience or encounter with GOD. Therefore, it will be wrong of me, maybe even a sin, to say or declare that something is wrong with Susie or Jack, or that he or she is lacking something in their relationship with GOD because they have not had the same experiences or encounters I have had with GOD. 🤨

WE ARE DIFFERENT ALTHOUGH WE ARE ENCOUNTERING THE SAME GOD.

They had different experiences with the same person

I have two beautiful daughters, whom I love deeply – more than my own life. As I was bringing up my two daughters from infancy until they finally left my home. They were dealing with the same person –  the same mother. But there was no way, as their mother, I could interact with them in the same way although my principles, expectations, and rules were the same for both of them. My girls were different in character, likeness, wants, needs, intelligence, maturity, abilities, etc. I was dealing with two different individuals who came from the same womb. Even though my principles, expectations, and rules were consistent and they never changed as my girls grew. But their personal experiences and encounters with me as their mother were extremely different because of their nature - the way they were and are wired.

So, when either one of my daughters tells or shares their individual personal experiences and encounters with me as their mother. Each of their stories and personal testimonies will not sound anything like the other. Even though they shared the same mother. Because they are different. Therefore, their experiences with me as their mother are different.

This is no different with us as Christians with GOD. It is absolutely WRONG for any Christian to say about another Christian. (In my arrogant temperamental voice). "You are wrong. No one today can hear the voice of GOD. GOD only speaks through HIS WORD the Bible!"

Wait a minute now. No matter which Scriptures you pull out to prove your point of view is accurate. Making such a declaration like that is wrong and not Biblically sound. It contradicts the nature of GOD. The reason why you declare such a thing is because YOU personally have not had such an experience with our FATHER. And because it has not been YOUR experience. Then YOU EXPECT everyone else who says they have had that kind of experience with GOD that they have to be wrong or lying. Or my personal favorite - (again, in my arrogant temperamental voice). "that voice cannot be of GOD. It must be from some other source" (aka the devil). C'mon now. The devil can speak to us today but GOD cannot speak to us. 🤷‍♀️ What sense does that make? 🤦‍♀️

GOD is all-powerful. The Supreme GOD of this universe and we dare to limit HIM to the written WORD of the Bible. Does that really make sense?  Let me not get sidetracked.

Here's the point. No one can tell me what my experience is or isn't with GOD. Whether I can hear HIS voice, see HIM, experience encounters with HIM or be healed by HIM, or have countless dreams or visions or revelations from GOD. That is not your place to determine what kind of relationship, experiences, or encounters I am having or can have with GOD. Nor is it my place to tell you what kind of relationship, experiences, or encounters you are having or can have with GOD. As daughters and sons of GOD, our experiences and encounters with HIM will be different because each one of us is different. And we all are on different levels of spiritual growth and understanding as well as our openness to receive things concerning GOD more than others. And to add, there are some things about GOD I am really to receive and accept that you may not be ready to receive or accept. Or vice versa.

The point is. Although we are serving the same GOD who expects all HIS children to abide by the same principles, decrees, commands, and rules that HE has in place. There is no way, even though, we are being governed by the same commandments of GOD that we will ALL have the same EXACT experiences and encounters with GOD.

As my last example, take, for instance, Able and Cain. The first two children of Adam and Eve. To sum up their childhood fairly quickly. We all can agree by saying Able was the good son. But Cain was the bad son. And based on just that description of these two young men. We can conclude that Able's experiences and encounters with GOD were certainly different from Cain's, which influenced their spiritual path and life choices. They were serving the same heavenly FATHER who was consistent in HIS principles and expectations of them. And yet, these two sons' encounter with GOD was different. It was different.

Because their character, likeness, wants, needs, intelligence, maturity, abilities, their make up, and even calling were different. They choose to use their free will differently. One was more open to certain aspects and the nature of GOD that the other was not as open to. One was patient enough to work through his own personal uncertainties about GOD, who GOD is, and GOD's abilities; while the other was not. These two men were wired differently and made different choices about their belief systems and what they can and cannot receive concerning the things of GOD. Therefore, their personal experiences and encounters with GOD were different. It was different!

So, who am I; who are you to say another cannot hear, experience, or encounter the presence of GOD in the way that they do?

This blog is really not about me, but more about my Father and our relationship. How we interact with one another and my response to His prompting. To be honest, at the moment, I do not know what to expect from this blog. I have no idea how personal I will get, what exactly I will share, and how often I will do it. But one thing is for certain. I will share what God places on my heart to share.
